Chip Shot 13

Here, from the Daily Blat, is the true spirit of the holidays:
rant

On the other hand, the homeless aren’t maybe as grateful as they could be:
rave

“I like a good yodel,” Sis said today, completely out of context.

My last emotion of the year 2009 was outrage. The reason isn’t so important, but the emotion was. A really good mad on can blast the fatty deposits right out of your veins if you lift off so fast and so high that you hit orbit. I’ve always had a temper, but mostly I try to be one of those namby pamby kumbaya types. All I can say is that I’m glad my resolution wasn’t moderation in all things or I would have broken it before the door slapped Father Time in the ass.

I want to thank all of you who read the Back Nine and keep me company here. It’s been a challenging year, but I assure you that the holidays were rewarding even without the Mister to share them. His family stays in touch with me, proving they are my family, too. Here’s to another funny, sad, wonderful, miserable, whatever-comes-our-way year together.

Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for your blog and even though I don’t know you in person I have thought of you often this last year.

I’ve been reading your site for months, came here from Sundry. When your posts show up on my Google reader I’m always happy because your writing is wonderful. I’m sure you’re feeling some rage after this year that you’ve had. Scream it out!!!

That is very cool that the Mister’s family stays in touch with you, my friend who lost his wife is coming up on a year this month, and didn’t even get a call. He did get a card that was all about how much they miss her, nothing about how he must be feeling. It’s been rough.
I started the year with great angst over things beyond my control, so far anyway….
I do love a good yodel as well! :)

I love your posts (I laughed out loud at namby pamby kumbaya types). I got scared there for a second that you were signing off permanently at the end. I was happy to see you were just being nice for the sake of it. ;)

kumbaya is one of the only songs that Dave can play on the guitar dispite lots of practice. A useless piece of information for you. Hope you are back safe and sound from your trip and not holed up in some airport in bad weather. TAlking of bad weather we are having it rough here in the UK and Dave was snowed in for a couple of days when I was in London. Loved calender girls but came home with plurisy so not feeling too good at the moment. I like a good yodel too.

But, really, who doesn’t like a good yodel?
